A Little background about Green Bay

Jean Nicolet, a French Explorer, came by canoe and named the large body of water La Baye Verte ( Green Bay).  The territory was first ruled by the French and then later by the British until the war of 1812 when the United States won the right to the territory.  Because of the ideal transportation route of the Great Lakes waterway and an abundance of flowing water through the Fox River, Green Bay became a thriving economic area with dominance in Metal Smelting, Lumber production and Paper Products.  Now Green Bay is known for their professional NFL football team, the Green Bay Packers, which uniquely is owned by the local community not an individual or Corporation.  The Packers give Green Bay an image of being a mega metropolitan area, when in reality, it is a quaint community of less than 120,000 population.  

Green Bay is a Great Place to Live

 There is an abundance of residential homes within dozens of neighborhoods that   will provide comfort and pride of home Ownership-from affordable starter homes   to sprawling mansions.  The landscape of the lands that make up the City of   Green Bay provides for waterfront opportunities along the shorelines of Green   Bay or the Fox River along with subdivisions carved into the rolling hills and   forests that make up the picturesque neighborhoods.  Some of the   neighborhoods built in the 19th Century are know as Astor Park, Navarino, and   Fort Howard possess stately structures built by the Lumber Barons, Doctors and   Government officials of the day.  There are many parks and Trails that are free to   the public and offer healthy recreation. The Fox River Trail originates in   Downtown Green Bay along the east bank of the Fox River and provides hiking   and biking for many miles south of the City.  Green Bay is a wholesome Community where one can thrive.
